The West Central Events Centre will be a busy spot this weekend as the Sledge Hockey Tournament is set to fire up today. There will be 7 junior teams coming which includes Regina, Swift Current has a couple teams and Edmonton, Calgary, and Medicine Hat are coming from Alberta to round up the junior side.

In the intermediate side there will be 5 teams in all with Regina and Bruno coming from Saskatchewan and Calgary and Medicine Hat from Alberta. Kindersley will have a team in each division as the tournament is set to fire up tonight at the Co-op Arena.

The Klippers junior sledge hockey team will be in action first as they will take on the Swift Current Ice Breakers at 7 pm. The intermediate team will be on the ice right after as they will play host to the Medicine Hat Hounds at 8:45 pm. There will be a full slate of action on Saturday with both arenas being used. The junior sledge team will be in action at 11:30 in the Co-op Arena against the Regina Avengers. The intermediate team will be playing at 1:45 in the afternoon on Saturday against the Regina Avengers intermediate team. Each will play two games on Sunday with the junior team on the ice at 10 am against the Edmonton PSA Blades and then will play the Medicine Hat Hounds junior team at 2 pm.

The intermediate team will wrap up their weekend on Sunday with a game against the Calgary Stingers at 8:30 am and will finish up with a game at noon against the Bruno T-Birds.
