An update from local RCMP came in yesterday as the Kindersley RCMP and surrounding units continued investigating Friday's early morning break-in and flight from police that began in Eston.

You can view the original police report above with yesterday's update regarding the arrest of Tami Falcon by Biggar RCMP, though the other individual involved out of Biggar Derrick Seefried is still at large. Seefried's current method of travel is unknown after his silver BMW was recovered by police.

Staff Seargent with the Kindersley RCMP Kevin Peterson has had a busy last few days. He helped detail some of what went on during the early morning hours of February 3rd.

"We had the initial call of a break and enter back on the 3rd. Members went down and responded to that, and when we did arrive on scene the suspect vehicle was still there, and our police vehicle attempted to stop it. The vehicle sped off, narrowly missing one of our members who had to jump out of the way," said Peterson about a routine stop that turned into a scary situation.

He continued on as the individuals at large clearly weren't willing to stop.

"We did have a pursuit shortly thereafter that was called off. After that we had Rosetown members stop the vehicle in their area. They attempted to stop it, and the vehicle rammed two of their police vehicles and took off again," shared Peterson.

Both Falcon and Seefried were identified shortly after the early morning chase using the vehicles license plate, and the former was brought into custody as mentioned just yesterday.

"We lost them after that, but the most recent update is that the female passenger was arrested in the Biggar area."

Seefried is still wanted on outstanding warrants and is known to frequent Medicine Hat as well as the local West Central areas of Eston, Rosetown, and Biggar where the recent events took place.

Luckily only some minor damage was done to the Rosetown RCMP's cruisers that absorbed the impact as both units are still in service.

If you see Derrick Seefried, do not approach and call your local police service immediately. You can reach your local RCMP detachment by calling 310-RCMP, and information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
