Tisdales Ford in Kindersley has wrapped up their part of Project Pegasus, a STARS fundraising initiative that involves a completely custom-built, one-of-a-kind, 1968 Ford Mustang 427 coupe that will be featured at the International SEMA Convention in Las Vegas. The money raised from its sale at the Barret Jackson Auction will go towards funding new helicopter equipment for Saskatchewan.

(Learning Ag with Mady was on hand to sell merchandise with proceeds going to STARS)

Local first responders were on hand with their equipment on display, and proceeds from the sales of hot dogs and hamburgers and much more all went toward STARS.

Brittany Warner with Country 104 was live on location and spoke with STARS, about the specifics of the upcoming fleet renewal.

"We are getting new (helicopters) for all three provinces. In Saskatchewan particularly the money is staying. $13 million is what the cost of a helicopter is," stated Tammy with STARS who was also on location, "In the back of that helicopter is where the lifesaving happens."

She went on to describe the rest of helicopters inventory, and answered more about what the car being paraded across Saskatchewan means.

Brittany also managed to catch up with Tisdales owner Roger McKenzie during the event, who spoke on the special occasion.

"The turnout has been phenomenal. We're pumped its been so successful, and I've been working harder today than in a normal day!"

The event also featured a car show with a neat caveat, that a good number of the cars in attendance were orginally purchased from Tisdales.

Another person we asked about the festivities was David Burke, a member of the local legion, and someone who is always ready to support something in town.

"Well it's a community event. Everybody in this community has been good for the legion, so we are here to support them and take part in what they are doing."

The event is moving onto Rosetown today at Regal Ford from 10-2. The town has been getting in the spirit through their own fundraiser before hand, that included placing a toilet on the mayor's lawn.
