After a very successful and productive meeting taking place in Kindersley Friday night, the Kindersley Chamber of Commerece had some new major announcements.

The first major change was the name of the organization which will now be referred to as the Kindersley & District Chamber of Commerce, and it has become official according to the new bylaws. The province has to technically confirm the name change, however, it is surely a new thing.

Another topic that was introduced was that the Kindersley Chamber will be opening their boarders to anyone within an hour radius that currently does not possess a chamber in Kindersley. This is very significant to farmers around the region, as well as many other citizens that could use one for their business.

The 2017 Nominees for Board of Directors were announced, and are as followed: Tom Morris, Brenda Mayer, Eric Frieson, Taylor Szeto, Andrew Montoya, James Garland and Clint Webster, respectively.

One of the nominees, Tom Morris, took the time to announce that he will not be continuing with the role as Chamber President of the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce.

Already a quarter of the way into the year of 2017, the Kindersley & District Chamber of Commerce made it very clear of what they will be trying to strive for. After what has been a successful start of the year, the main focus is to increase the number of memberships within the region, and it is believed by all members that this goal is very possible to accomplish.
