The Kindersley Lynco Hot Oiler Atom Kobras had a very successful weekend, with two wins.

Action started late Saturday with a 5:30pm game against Unity Black. The Kobras walked away with a big 12-4 win. The team finished the weekend on the road, celebrating an 11-7 win against Unity White.

The Lynco Hot Oiler Atom Kobras are next in action at their Home Tournament, Friday @ 10:15am. The Atom Tournament runs Friday January 17, 18 and 19th at the West Central Events Centre.


The Western Prairie Thunder Atom girls team fell short by 1 goal for the A final on Saturday in Rosetown for a tournament but ended with a win over Rosetown in the B final.

Sunday the Thunder faced Eston in a league game in Kindersley and were victorious by a score of 3-2. They are hosting their home tournament this coming weekend at the WCEC with their 1st game on Friday morning at 10am.


In other minor hockey action the Kindersley Atom 1 team had a busy and successful weekend winning all three games they played. In a close game on Friday night, the Atom 1 Klippers won 6-5 over the Kerrobert Atom Tigers at home.

The Klippers then had no trouble defeating the Biggar/Wilkie and Rosetown Atom teams on Saturday and Sunday at home as well.

The Kindersley Atom 1 Klippers have a 13-1 record which is second in the north division behind the 14-0 Macklin White squad.


The Kindersley Full Tilt Atom Klippers had a pair of games as well on the weekend, both at home. The Klippers defeated the Elrose Atom Aces by a score of 12-1 on Saturday and then followed that up by beating the Southwest Leader Warriors 9-1 to go perfect on the weekend.

The Full Tilt Atom Klippers lead the south division of the Hi-way 14 Atom Hockey League with an 11-1-1 record.
