The Kerrobert Prairie Branches Day Program has been keeping busy with all kinds of projects this fall season. This includes carving pumpkins for Halloween, and some Halloween crafting and making popcorn balls. The “gang,” as they are affectionately known, are also busy doing community work at the Town. And also, some custom shredding at a local business. They have also been going to see movies at both Unity and Kindersley, and will be continuing to do that throughout the fall and winter months.  

As for other things going on at Kerrobert Prairie Branches, there is currently a poinsettia fundraiser ongoing as Program Director of Kerrobert Prairie Branches Cindy Kissick explains. 

“This month we've also decided to do a fundraiser that helps with some of the programming that we do. So, we are selling poinsettias and some greenery, it's through growing smiles fundraiser. So, if you wanted to go onto prairiebranches.growingsmilesfundraising.com, you can order a poinsettia, or indoor tropical plant holiday wreaths some hanging greenery and outdoor greenery arrangements. They're really beautiful. All that stuff goes towards crafting, work skills, stuff we need for our programming,” Kissick said. 

There are also plans for musical guests for the month of November, according to Kissick.  

“We're going to have a couple people like Frank Beausoleil, the local entertainer here come into our center and we also have Gail Wiebe coming in who is amazing too. With all the things that she brings to us with her unique talent. And then we're also going to have a spa day, so we can get everybody looked after. And we are actually going into North Battleford to check out their day program.” 

And Kissick wanted to remind residents, that the “gang” are available for other ventures this fall and winter season. 

“We still have our candy business. We have ones that make homemade root beer, we have homemade hot plates. We have two to three guys that go out and do customs snow removal so, please remember us. And if you still want some leaves raked, please give us a call at three 306-494-7055 and book us in before the snow comes.”
