The Kindersley Jr. Klippers, in conjunction with the Kindersley Skating Club, the Kindersley Sr. Klippers, and Kindersley Minor Sports, will be hosting a special tailgate barbecue from 5:00 to 7:00 pm this Friday. It comes ahead of the Jr. Klippers regular season home opener against the Battlefords North Stars. All proceeds from the barbecue will go to the Wilmer Gonzalez family, after his tragic passing a few weeks ago.
The team also announced a new Marketing Manager after the departure of Mark Gasper, as he has landed an NHL scouting job with the Vancouver Canucks. Braden Malsbury took over the role, and he comes to Kindersley from his previous stop in Blackfalds, and La Ronge, where he was Director of Marketing and Communications. He was the voice of the Ice Wolves for seven seasons, and will be the voice of the Jr. Klippers on Country 104 this season.
