The Rosetown RCMP calls to service from October 29 to November 4 were highlighted by a hot tub scam on Facebook reported on West Central Online earlier, and a traffic incident on Hwy 4, north of Rosetown, where a vehicle sustained damage after an empty chemical tote flew out of another vehicle. A charge under the Traffic Safety Act of having an insecure load was issued.

2021-10-29 at 0744hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on

Highway 4 near Elrose, SK. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

2021-10-29 at 1646hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a round bale on Highway

15. Members were able to remove the bale with the assistance of a neighboring farmer.

2021-10-29 at 1933hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an impaired driver. Members patrolled and located the vehicle. A 30-year-old female from Elrose was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle.

2021-10-29 at 2247hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 4. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

2021-10-30 09016hrs - Rosetown RCMP received a report of motor vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries - matter reported for insurance purposes.

2021-10-30 at 1642hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Rosetown, SK. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

2021-10-31 at 1417hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and nothing further was required.

2021-10-31 at 1735hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of mischief. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

2020-07-06 at 1030hrs - Rosetown RCMP were called to a traffic incident on Hwy 4, north of Rosetown, where a vehicle sustained damage after an empty chemical tote flew out of another vehicle. A charge under the Traffic Safety Act of having an insecure load was issued. Police wish to remind everyone to secure all loads when driving to avoid any damage to other vehicles or injury.

2021-11-01 at 1032hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check. The matter is still under investigation.

2021-11-01 at 1305hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious person at a Rosetown residence. Members attended and spoke to the complainant.

2021-11-01 at 1328hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of theft of gas from a Rosetown business. The matter is still under investigation.

2021-11-01at 1330hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle at a Rosetown business. The vehicle was gone upon member arrival.

2021-11-02 at 0718hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Laura, SK. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

2021-11-02 at 1201hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check. Members attended and transported the subject of complaint to the Rosetown Hospital for assessment.

2021-11-02 at 1551hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver in Rosetown, SK. Members located the vehicle and spoke to the subject of complaint.

2021-11-02 at 2038hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

2021-11-03 at 2312hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, SK. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

2021-11-04 at 0808hrs – Rosetown RCMP received a report of fraud. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Between 2021-10-31 and 2021-11-03 – Rosetown RCMP received several reports of a Facebook hot tub fraud scam. Rosetown RCMP remind individuals to be cautious of putting deposits down especially when it comes to on-line purchases.

There were 51 Traffic related charges issued, one 911 miss dial call and one false alarm call.
