The votes are being tallied and the race is on for this year’s CAA Worst Roads campaign. To no ones surprise around the West Central region, Highway 44 in the Eston area is the top dog as of April 14.

The poll we put out earlier this week about the worst roads in Saskatchewan saw an overwhelming response to Highway 44 being the worst in the province, especially between Glidden and Eston. Other responses included Highway 44 from Eatonia to Alsask, Highway 15 between Outlook and Kenaston, and Highway 30 south of Eston.

The top 10 as of April 14 stands as follows:

  1. Saskatchewan 44, Eston, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  2. Highway 13, Redvers, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  3. Butte Street, Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  4. Saskatchewan 9, Whitewood, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  5. Saskatchewan 30, Eston, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  6. Coteau Street West, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - Potholes
  7. Saskatchewan 5, Buchanan, Saskatchewan - Poor road maintenance
  8. Saskatchewan 123, Petaigan / Ravendale / Pemmican Portage, Saskatchewan - Potholes
