Canadian Wheat Board Commodity Risk Manager, David Boyes, explained that there are options available to western Canadian farmers looking to cash in on the price spike.

Options include booking a "Futures-First" basis price contract, locking in current values through a fixed price contract, or using the Flexpro program.

Wheat prices hit two year highs on the Chicago Board of Trade last week after Russia announced a ban on exports for the remainder of the year.
