Hi-Way 14 Hockey League playoffs in full force

All levels of the Hi-Way 14 Hockey League playoffs have begun. Starting in U13, the Full Tilt H Kindersley Thrashers won their first round series against the Prairie Predators. In a penalty filled game one, Kindersley won by a score of 9-5. Leading the way for the Klippers was Madden Greenwood, who had two goals, and Simeon Bakanec had one goal and two assists in the victory.

Game two was back in Kindersley, and once again the Full Tilt Klippers came out on top 10-3. The team got off to a quick start, as Levi Norberg scored in the first minute of play, and the team never looked back. Easton Wigley, Norberg and Madden Greenwood had two goals in the lopsided win.

U15

Wilkie-Biggar is moving onto round two after they defeated Outlook-Hanley twice last week/weekend. Game one saw Davin Dehr score a hat trick, and Austin Sittler scored two as well, to help Wilkie-Biggar to a 7-2 game one victory. 

Game two back in Outlook saw Wilkie-Biggar win in another one sided game, this time 8-1. Emerson Cey had a hat trick for Wilkie-Biggar, and Heath Trayhorne had two goals, in the win. 

Kindersley is out of the playoffs after back to back losses to the Unity Lazers. Game one was 7-2 for Unity, as Connor Ralston scored at hat trick for Unity, and Nash Sperle had two goals and an assist to lead the Lazers to victory. Game two saw Unity come out on top 9-5, to take home the series win. Nash Sperle had three goals and an assist, and Connor Ralston and Daxon L'Heureux had two goals and an assist in the series clinching victory. 

U18

The U18 Kindersley Klippers are moving onto round two after defeating the U18 Rosetown Redwings twice last week/weekend. Jace Reichert and Brett Bahm each scored two in game one, to lead the Klippers to a 5-1 win. Then in game two back in Rosetown, Kindersley got out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a pair from Hunter Smith. Rosetown then came back with two of their own by Kayden Hrycan to tie the game halfway through the third period. Then with just over four minutes remaining, Rhett Dimitroff scored to give the Klippers a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish, and Kindersley is now moving onto round two. 

The other matchup on the weekend saw Eston defeat Wilkie-Biggar 7-1 at home on Sunday in game one. Game two of that series is scheduled for tomorrow night in Biggar. The two other series sees Macklin up against Dinsmore, and Unity up against Kerrobert-Luseland. Those series are expected to start this week.
