After an amazing collection which managed to send an impressive trailer full of goods to those in need in British Columbia, Lindsey Soderholm is beaming with just how much the small community of Unity was able to donate.

“Our little town of 2500 people sure they come together. In BC, I did a lot of work like this, like I was saying before, and it would take a while to get those kinds of donations and everyone just really hustled and did absolutely everything they could.”

Soderholm then mentioned how things were going in BC, and said she might get something together after Christmas, but it’s too early to tell at this point.

“The food bank shelves were pretty empty; they were saying when we got down there. We know that a lot of people that have lost their homes and a lot of things are still being shipped out to them, so it's going to be an ongoing battle for the next couple months. I think a friend of mine and I are talking about maybe trying to do another round after Christmas, but maybe renting like a U-Haul truck or something, but we'll just have to see how it goes.”

After all the donations were dropped off, Soderholm was tickled about how they are going to help those in BC.

“That really felt good because to know that all of these people desperately needed these things. Then kids at schools are going to be happy, it just went to so many different places,” Soderholm said.
