The province says there were 315 new cases of the COVID-19 virus in Saskatchewan on Thursday, with only two of those in the Central West Zone.

The active case count for the Central West Zone now sits at 58, down 4 from the previous day.

There are now 4295 active cases in the province with 335 people being treated in hospitals.

260 of those people are receiving inpatient care and 75 people are in the ICU.

74% of those patients are unvaccinated.

The 7-day average for new COVID-19 case numbers was 418.

Since the pandemic began, there have been 73,350 confirmed cases in Saskatchewan, with 769 deaths.
