According to Unity RCMP, during the early morning hours of June 22nd members responded to a complaint of a male threatening people at a residence in Macklin. Members attended, and arrested 34 year old Christopher Paul Reid of Macklin.

Reid appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on the following offenses:

1.       Possession of  a handgun without a license.

2.       Carrying a concealed weapon (knife).

3.       Being on a Release Order fail to Keep the Peace and Be of Good Behaviour.

4.       While being on a Release Order prohibiting him from Possessing a Weapon, possess a weapon.

5.       Utter Death threats x2

6.       Possession of  Meth

Reid was remanded in custody for a Show Cause Hearing on Monday, June 27th in North Battleford.

The calls to service for the Unity, Macklin and Wilkie RCMP from June 14 to 20 were highlighted by a 55-year-old female from the Unity area being charged with Assault after Members received a complaint of assault. In Wilkie, a 33-year-old male from Saskatoon was charged with Refusal to Comply with Demand and Operation While Prohibited after Members received a traffic complaint. And in Macklin, Members received a report of a vehicle damaging a gate at Macklin Lake Regional Park. This matter is still under investigation.

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family friend.

· Members assisted Emergency Medical Services with a patient.

· Police received a request from another RCMP Detachment to deliver a next of kin notification.

· RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

· Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

· A 55-year-old female from the Unity area was charged with Assault after Members received a complaint of assault.

· Police received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint who was transported by a family member to Kindersley Hospital for an assessment.

· Members spoke to an individual regarding undertaking conditions.

· Police received a complaint of a suspicious individual in Unity. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.

· There were also two false alarms.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP received two reports of three dogs running loose in Landis. Members returned the animals to their owner.

· Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

· Members are investigating a complaint of harassing communications.

· A 33-year-old male from Saskatoon was charged with Refusal to Comply with Demand and Operation While Prohibited after Members received a traffic complaint.

· RCMP received a complaint of a loud noise near a residence. Members discovered SaskPower on scene fixing a broking fuse.

· CN Police reported a damage railway arm in a rural area near Reford. Reported for information purposes.

· Members spoke to an individual regarding undertaking conditions.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who was checking fields.

· Police received several complaints of disturbing the peace. Members attended and spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Police received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Members are investigating a complaint of a stolen utility trailer.

· RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision in Macklin. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Police are investigating a break and enter at a residence.

· Members received a report of a vehicle damaging a gate at Macklin Lake Regional Park. This matter is still under investigation.

· There was also one false 911 call and one traffic complaint.
