UPDATE: January 28, 12:00 PM

Team Silvernagle beat Team Schneider last night 8-4, and plays the team with other west central ties Saturday morning. Team Sherry Anderson lost their first game last night to Team Martin 7-6. This morning's game is now a final, as Robyn Silvernagle and her team from Twin Rivers Curling Club beat up Team Sherry Anderson 8-2. In what must have been a fun game for Robyn, she played her mother Anita, in a competitive game of curling. So, she gets bragging rights at the next dinner table for now.

Team Silvernagle meanwhile, moves on to Page Playoff 1, and has a chance for revenge against Team Martin, who beat the Silver Squad 9-2 earlier in the week. Game time for that one is 7:30 pm at Affinity Place in Estevan.

Meanwhile Team Sherry Anderson has now lost two in a row, and will need win at 3:00 this afternoon to stay alive in the triple knockout tournament.

UPDATE: January 27, 1:00 PM

Biggar born Robyn Silvernagle and her team from the Twin Rivers Curling Club in North Battleford are off to a solid start at the Women's Provincial Curling Championships in Estevan.

The team won their first two games, knocking off Team Stevenson 6-2 back on Wednesday. They kept the momentum going with a 9-4 win over Team Ackerman Thursday morning. But the team had their first setback last night against Team Martin, falling 9-2 to drop to the B bracket of the triple knockout tournament.

Meanwhile, looking at Delisle born skip Sherry Anderson and her team from the Nutana Curling Club, they are having an even stronger start to their draw, as they are a perfect 3-0. In an interesting twist, Robyn Silvernagle's mother Anita throws lead stones for Team Anderson, so the teams may faceoff somewhere down the line.

Back to Team Anderson, they knocked off Team Kleiter 8-7 on Wednesday. They then demolished Team Holland 10-3 on Thursday morning, before beating Team Howard is a close one 8-6 Thursday night. Team Anderson will be back on the ice this afternoon at 3:00 against Team Martin, with the winner going straight the Page Playoff 1 on Saturday night.

West Central Online will continue to update the Viterra Scotties Provincial Championship throughout the weekend.
