The Eatonia Wheat Kings managed a big upset last night, as they knocked off the third place Kindersley Cubs on the road, in a winner take all wild card game in the FVBL. Eatonia fell behind 4-1 after 4 innings but managed a big comeback starting in the top of the fifth, with five runs to take a 6-4 lead. 

The Wheat Kings got contributions from all 9 hitters in the batting lineup, and took advantage of everything that was given to them, including some costly errors by the Cubs.

The Wheat Kings will get to showcase their new ballpark once again, but that will come after game one of the best of three semi final series, which will be held in Oyen.

The other wild card game in the FVBL is this evening, as the Rosetown Angles will play host to the U18 number 1 Kindersley Royals. The winner will play the Kindersley Raiders in the semi finals. First pitch is 6pm.
