The Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP report for the period of June 29 to July 5 was highlighted by a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 14 and 31 in Macklin. There was also a request to locate an individual located in the Wilkie area. And there was a complaint of youths knocking on a residence door and running away in Unity. Members located the subjects of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

As for the collision in Macklin, one vehicle driver and one vehicle passenger sustained minor injuries and the matter is still under investigation. Read the full Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP report below:

 

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP received a complaint of theft near Scott. This matter is still under investigation.

· CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction near Tramping Lake. Reported for information purposes.

· An individual turned in a wallet that was located near a business in Unity. The wallet was returned to the owner.

· Police received a report of an individual locked out of a residence. Members were attending a priority call and could not attend. No further action required.

· Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

· RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Police received a complaint of assault with a weapon but it was unfounded.

· Members received a request to assist in locating an address for a fire alarm. The alarm was subsequently cancelled by the property rep. No further action required.

· RCMP received two reports of fireworks in Unity. Members were aware as the Unity Fire Department was setting off fireworks for Canada Day celebrations.

· Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer near Winter. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Members attended a report of cattle in the ditch near Highway 14. A neighbor herded the cattle back into the pasture.

· RCMP received a complaint of youth knocking on a residence door and running away. Members located the subjects of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

· There was also one traffic complaint.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP received a request to locate an individual located in the Wilkie area.

· Police received a complaint of a dog running loose in Wilkie. Members issued a verbal warning to the animal owner.

· Members acted as mediators in a neighbor dispute.

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Members are investigating a complaint of fraud.

· Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

· RCMP received a complaint of theft in Landis. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

· There were also two traffic complaints and two false 911 calls.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.

· Members attended a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 14 and 31 near Macklin. One vehicle driver and one vehicle passenger sustained minor injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

· CP Rail reported a railway crossing blocked by a train in Macklin. Reported for information purposes.

· Police received a complaint of harassing communications. Reported for information purposes.

· RCMP conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member in two separate incidences this week.

· Police received a report of open fires at Macklin Lake Regional Park despite a fire ban. Members attended and noted all fires were propane fit pits which are allowed within the ban.

· RCMP are investigating a complaint of sexual interference.

· Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

· There were also two traffic complaints and one noise complaint.
