Charges have been dropped against a LeRoy man who took a helicopter for a mid-summer junket to an ice cream shop. The chopper landed in an empty parking lot adjacent to Tisdale’s Dairy Queen for a passenger to make a quick ice cream cake pickup.

LeRoy area resident Reed McGarth was charged with dangerous operation of an aircraft. The charges were stayed by the Crown prosecutor in a Melfort courtroom. No reason for the decision was delivered.
