The Union of Postal Communications Employees has went on strike as of yesterday.

According to Canada Post the union employs 2100 members and make up about 5% of the workforce.  They say there is only 16 workers who are affected in the province.

John Caines the National Spokesman for Canada Post says they don't expect the strike to affect mail delivery because these are not people who handle the mail.

The union is made up of administration and technical workers for Canada Post.
