Time to report to camp! (photo: Kindersley Klippers)

It's a big year coming up for the Kindersley Klippers hockey organization.

New acquisitions from the off-season will be skating with returning players for the first time at training camp. Local talent will be back to represent their friends and family.

Tyler Orr, Assistant General Manager and Business Operations for the Klippers, has had a chance to see some of the players ahead of conditioning camp and scrimmages. As it sounds, the team is looking refreshed and ready to start the campaign.

Orr is an off-season acquisition himself as this will be his first season with the Klippers. Him and the organization are appreciative of the local support the team has received so far as they prepare for the upcoming season.

After the Kimmer Cup, the Klippers will be hosting two exhibition games at the West Central Events Centre. The first will be a matinee event at 2:00 PM on September 5th followed by a pre-season matchup against the Battlefords North Stars on September 9th.

Klippers turn 25-years-old this season

Another unique aspect for the Klippers new season will be celebrating a franchise milestone as well.

This year will mark the organization's 25th anniversary in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and there are some big events and changes to go along with the franchise's birthday. Orr discussed what will be different for the organization's anniversary this year.

A special logo to commemorate the Klippers' 25th anniversary has already been introduced and will be featured around the arena.
