The Royal Canadian Mounted Police celebrated a milestone this year, surpassing 150 years of Canadian law enforcement back on May 23.
The Biggar RCMP detachment is celebrating the anniversary with a BBQ for the public on Friday, September 8.
Multiple branches of law enforcement will be on hand as Sgt. Dereck Crozier of the Biggar RCMP is inviting everybody to drop by their quarters that day. Both Saskatchewan Crimestoppers and the Saskatchewan Recruitment team will be posted up with information for anyone interested in a career as a peace-officer, or as emergency dispatchers with either 911 or police.
The free lunch will take place between 12:00 and 2:00 PM.
