Some good competition in both softball and baseball is set to grace the Town of Unity this weekend.

The softball series features the Unity Panthers taking on the Battleford Bandits for the U19 Provincial Championship in a best of five. Things will begin on Saturday with the first three games set for 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, and 5:30 pm, and then any potential elimination games will be taking place on Sunday at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm if necessary.

Looking at the baseball action, the Unity Jr Cardinals will finally be playing against competition their own age after another regular season completed in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League. Teams from Calgary and Battleford are coming down to play a set of games ahead of their upcoming respective U22 baseball championships. Unity is the host for this years 22U AAA Provincials on July 22-24, and will be taking on Calgary twice on Saturday, and Battleford once on Sunday following the two visiting teams doing battle in between.]
