The Downtown Kindersley Association held their Kick-off to Christmas event on Saturday. Member of the DKA said it was a well-attended day of singing, Santa, and much more.

Wagon rides, hot chocolate, and more including a free movie for kids at the theatre made for an incredible day.

Better Together Kindersley was on hand for the fun, and Marge Bailey with the group talked about what they prepared after being approached by the town.

"They needed someone to do some things on Main Street," started Bailey as they set up their Better Together promotional booth, "A connected community is a healthy community. That is our tagline, and we truly believe it."

Stepping in to help with events like these are some of the things that make Better Together so great, and Bailey said the day couldn't have been better.

"The weather couldn't have been better. There was such a great unified spirit there."

Bailey said the group raised just over $700 after it all, money that will be going to an upcoming workshop. More on that "worth" shop will be available soon, as Bailey talked about once selfless act from a local photographer that helped them raise even more funds for the upcoming programming.

"We set up a Santa photo shoot. Jenny Hagan came along, and bless her, she said she would do the photos, and we would still get all the proceeds for our workshop."
