The Annual General Meeting of the Rosetown and District Chamber of Commerce was held last night at the Rosetown Civic Center.

First off the food was delightful, delicious and spectacular.

The Chamber members started by going through the 2015 financial report. There were no big questions or queries with how the report looked.

Next it was on to the approval of some bylaw amendments which was more or less just changed wording for legal purposes.

After that it was on to open discussion involving everything from the "Win in Winter Wonderland" contest around Christmas, to how the chamber operates with the town, to welcome wagon ideas for newcomers into the city to the new business relocation package. Most of the discussion was centered on the "Win in Winter Wonderland" contest and how to improve upon it this year. The discussion also waded into how to attract more people to shop in downtown Rosetown. The discussion was spirited, lively and productive.

Also, an unveiling of a new logo was announced with an eye to the future of the Chamber of Commerce and to business in Rosetown. The gears represent working together as a community and the one small red gear represents the chamber in that community.
