The number of active cases of COVID-19 reached the lowest level since November 8th Sunday after, as the provincial government issued its daily update. There were 73 new cases and 119 recoveries, which brought the number of active cases down to 1,196. The seven-day average of new cases dropped to 103 (8.4 per 100,000), also the lowest since November 8th. 

The new cases there were reported were primarily in the Saskatoon and Regina zones, with 26 and 13 cases respectively. Another nine cases were reported in the North West zone, eight in the North Central zone, seven in the South Central zone, six in the Central East, two in the Central West and one in the Far North East and South East zones.  

There are currently 101 people in the hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19, with 19 people in intensive care. The ICU numbers include two patients from Manitoba who were transferred here due to overcrowding in that province.  

The province stepped closer to the threshold for the third step of the Re-Opening Roadmap, with 13,642 doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered. At this point, 67 percent of those over 18 have now received their first dose and 65 percent over 12 their first dose. The third step of the Re-Opening Roadmap can start on July 11th provided 70 percent of those 18 and older have received a vaccine by June 20th. The remaining health restrictions can be lifted using the same timelines if 70 percent of those over 12 have received their vaccine.
