The province reported 10 more deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday afternoon, raising Saskatchewan's total fatality count to 726.

It was another day with another record for hospitalizations, as an increase of 15 has 340 people in hospital. Of those, 267 are receiving inpatient care and 73 are in intensive care.

On the flip side, 242 new cases was the lowest single-day total reported since 200 were announced August 30. The seven-day average for daily new cases dropped by 30 to 427.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (8), Far North East (10), North West (35), North Central (12), North East (10), Saskatoon (59), Central West (6), Central East (16), Regina (8), South West (11), South Central (14) and South East (14) zones and thirty-nine (39) new cases have pending residence information.

13 cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (from October 3 (2)), Far North East (from September 20 (1)), North West (from October 3 (1)), North Central (from September 27 (2), October 3 (1)), Central East (from October 1 (1), October 2 (1), October 3 (2)), South Central (from September 27 (1)), and South East (from October 1 (1)) zones.

4,385 cases are considered active and 238 cases are active in the south central zone.
