The Rosetown 7th Annual Harvest Family Festival is back again this year, and this year's event promises to be the biggest and best one yet. New this year, a petting zoo, pony rides and street hockey makes a return after an absence in last year's festival. Also, several new food trucks, displays and entertainment acts are also potentially on the docket, but as of yet are not 100% confirmed.

Cindy Mullis, lead organizer of the festival, talked with West Central Online about all the events for kids to do this year. Bouncy castles, face painting, a balloon twister, crafts table, theatrical presentations, wagon rides, petting zoo and pony rides, displays by SaskPower and other businesses are just a handful of the events that will be available this year. Kids buy a bracelet for $5 and get to participate in all the events available to them.

The perogy truck will not be returning this year, but several other options have been discussed joining the already stacked lineup. The ever popular doughnut truck has been confirmed and will be making a return to this year's event, most likely setting up shop on Friday afternoon. There will be no more candy throwing, most likely it will be people handing candy out of golf carts driving around the parade, but still yet to be finalized.

Back this year is the popular friday night football game, with the Rosetown Royals set to take on the Biggar Blazers underneath the lights.

Pumpkin carving, draws and raffles including a signed George Reed Riders jersey, Rosie and the Riveteers performing group, scarecrow making and so much more.
