Rainfall and inclement weather as a whole has been the topic of discussion for people in West Central Saskatchewan.

Yesterday, more rain fell from the sky in several Saskatchewan communities - West Central Saskatchewan was placed under a weather advisory for the majority of the day. The advisory was created by Environment Canada to alert residents conditions were favourable for funnel clouds.

Although, no dangerous weather conditions developed during the day.

Almost 1 inch (approximately 23 millimetres) of rain fell in Kindersley from the morning late into the evening when the rainfall began to slow down. Winds steered the rainfall towards a southwest direction from the north, which covered the majority of area surrounding Kindersley.

No doubt the rain is not being welcomed by most farmers as they begin with harvesting season. Late spring/early summer began with hot and dry conditions for farmers. But, sections during the summer months in Saskatchewan have been dominated by inclement weather which do not help a lot of the crops in the area.

Environment Canada is forecasting a mix of sun and cloud for the rest of the week in Kindersley and surrounding area. High temperatures for the week are predicted around the low to mid 20s mark, which should hopefully give residents a much needed break from the abundant Saskatchewan rain.
