A worldwide attempt to cut the lights is coming on Saturday. 'Earth Hour' is, "a movement to build awareness about climate change" that started back in 2007.

SaskPower shared on Friday afternoon that they will be taking part alongside many others on the planet this Saturday.

"We'll be shutting off the lights at head office from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 23 to show our support."

The Earth Hour website shares that 190 countries and territories helped "give" over 410,000 hours to Earth.
