On april 3, Maidstone RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence in the RM of Britannia. 

The male was located and transported to hospital with serious injuries. He later passed in hospital.  

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, with help from North Battleford Forensic Identification Services are investigating the circumstances around the death. 

An investigation determined Maidstone RCMP received a wellness check call that morning regarding the deceased male. A physical check was not completed.

Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team was notified of the incident. SRIT will investigate the RCMP’s response to the initial request for a well-being check. 

This is required by The Police Act of 1990.
